Week 6 of the Pool Bath Remodel!

Whoot-whoot!!

We’ve made it, peeps.  And I’m so, so, so happy that we’ve done it together.

There were rough moments.  There was dust and paint and sealant in our hair…. well, the hair that we hadn’t pulled out yet from contractor stress.  And yes, there were some sleepless nights in there where I really worried about squeezing in a tub and shower into a pretty small space….

But, you know what?

And, this is hard for my overly critical self to admit, this bathroom is really special.  In fact, it’s quite beautiful.  And I love everything I picked.  Every single thing.

I still need to fill in some details and style my open medicine cabinet… let’s be honest, it’ll probably be for displaying my son’s treasures.  Gotta start ’em young at the flea markets!

Gotten a glimpse of my art piece?!

I made it with two pieces of cheap-o wood, a can of ebony stain and my Dremel carving bit!

I searched for the perfect bath rugs, but that’s going to take forever to find.  So far, no luck and I’m totally open to suggestions!  I need something durable but soft, moroccan inspired would be fab… and it’s gotta be machine washable since there will be a lot of foot traffic coming from the pool.

Those Hansgrohe fixtures are like diamonds for your bath!!  Of course, all the boys just want to spray everything with those microphone-looking sprayers.  I’m so thankful I went with porcelain up to the ceiling!

That tile is seriously drool-worthy.  I’m in love with it!!  Take that focal wall – Booyah!

And the floor heater?!?!  Yes, I do realize I live in Southern California.  But, BUT!  Dude, it’s cool.

Please go over to Calling it Home today to see ALL the reveals!  I personally love watching a space transform, but there is nothing like seeing the final photos!!  Great coffee time reading and procrastination material for work!

Thank you so much to all the crazy bloggers out there for sharing this experience with me!  Especially, Linda, who’s space is crazy good.

Until the next post, friends!

Happy Creating!  Tootles, Jessica

  1. Seriously blown away with this reveal! The tile, sconce and fixtures are to die! It’s the pool bath of my dreams. Can I tell you how envious I am that you have an exterior door between your pool and bath? I’ll be cleaning wet footprints off my wood floors all summer. You? You’ll have trouble keeping people out by the pool because they’ll all want to hang out in your bathroom. Absolutely divine job!

  2. Absolutly amayzing!!! am completely speechless, you are an artist and in the wrong professsion mija, so proud of you

  4. Such a wonderful transformation. I dream of the day when I can say that I have one, just one, room in my house that is finished!

The artwork is to die for and is definitely on my ever growing list of “must-do” DIY projects

  5. I absolutely love the way your bathroom turned out! It is stunning! I also have these tiles in my new bathroom, I ended up installing them vertically. I love them too! Your artwork is really fantastic, great job!

  6. I love love love the wall. The texture is simultaneously soothing and inviting like a spa, and sexy ala a slick bathroom you would find in a fab hotel. Can’t wait for post-pool time at the Burgos house! Beautiful!

  7. Not only did you finish, but this bathroom is unreal! This should be your master bath! I would not let my kids near this! 🙂
Seriously all the the tile and fixture choices are beautiful, but that artwork is gorgeous!! Love this room! Well done!

    1. You are too funny! My husband says the same thing – that now we have to redo the master since it’s no longer the nicest bathroom in the house!! Always something to do, huh?!?
