Hi there!

I just love when I get a good buying tip from a friend – Don’t you?!  It’s like, thanks for testing out the terrifying waters of new jeans and uncomfortable shoes, so I DON’T HAVE TO.  Yes and More please.

So, to be an equally good friend, here are a few items that I’ve been loving for the last month or three.  And if you have seen me recently, then you have literally witnessed my love of these things.  Phone?  Check.  Uggs?  Double check!!  You guys, would you believe that my husband’s work friend, who’s daughter works at Uggs, got me the boots?  Like as a gift.  You hate me?  I’d say I feel bad, but thank you so much!!  (It’s all I’ve ever wanted, really.)  Plus, I love dem boots!!  Perfection for just about any outfit.

The hair tie is just fun.  And will make you feel old – I should add that warning.  My kids asked me what it was and I said, “It’s a telephone cord.” To which they replied (to my horror), “What’s a telephone cord?”  Damn spoiled kids these days can talk on the phone wherever their little butts can go.  No tangled cords or hiding in the closet.

The thing you might have seen at Joanne’s is the Cricut and has been the one truly envy inducing buy.  Simply put, it cuts stuff.  But it cuts and writes WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO.  It’s been a complete diy game changer.  You’ll see.

This week also marks a bday for muah, which kinda lunged me into action on this post.  My kids want to get me a gift (or maybe I’ve made it abundantly clear that they have to get me one, not sure) and I’m offering the males in the house a bit of a direction.  Here are bunch of things, I would be VERY happy opening up.

Could this branch chandelier be the one?  It’s definitely close.  It could be…???  The new switches are something that’s happening soon whether I get it as a gift or not.  I’m really playing with the whole idea of “smarting” up the house – First the Rachio, then the Nest, and now the lights… The block heels are cute and cheap – I’m seeing the style everywhere and for that price I could rock those this summer and destroy them.  The shirt?  I saw it in the window and it called to me.  It would be my “I’m feeling like an artist today” blouse.  I like to feel like an artist.

Of course, this all spurned an internal debate of what I really want.  (A winning lotto ticket!)  I’m sure even you know what’s at the top of the list… I want a new sofa.  My husband says that’s insane with little guy turning 3 in a few months – This kid totally took a sharpie to my ugly sofa no less than 3 weeks ago.  But I’m feeling like I’ve waited SO long.  I feel like normal people get new sofas every 5 years and this one just turned 9.  It’s a tough call – what we have is comfortable, not precious in the least, and is fine.  It’s fine.  But as a person that loves beautiful interiors, it hurts my eyes.  And my soul.

Anyway you may hear more about this sofa issue as things progress.  But I may be nearing the trigger.  I have found the perfect option.  It’s hard to say no to intense research and years of obsessing… at least that’s what I’m banking on.
