Color Crush – Red Orange

Hi friends!

Yowza it’s been a long time since I’ve done a color crush.  And, you guys, I’m SO HAPPY to be seeing color again!  YES!!  I know that even I painted a few rooms white, but sheesh, everything white is just sooooo plain toast.  Y’know?  Finally some flava!

So, let’s just feast on this here color.  It’s so BOLD, yet classy.  My eyeballs are ALIVE!  And it ain’t boring.  Interestingly, I’ve seen the color only referred to as Red Orange… which is kinda weird.  Like, is it not worthy of a totally misprounceable name- WHICH IT TOTALLY IS.  ‘Cummon Pantone let’s aubergine the crap outta this color.  That being said… you know you’re looking at the right color when you’re thinking, “Is it red?  Or is it orange?”  It’s RED ORANGE!

And it is bad.  But in a good way.

The saturation of the hue really lends itself to being paired with blues.  It ain’t too shabby with neutrals either.  And yes, you guessed it, red orange looks pretty dope with red and orange.

Someone VERY interesting lives here.

Here too.  You get the idea.

That wall.  THAT FREAKING WALL.  It’s all kinds of awesomeness.

Today, I could use that wall color in my life.

Color Crush – Rookwood Sash!

Sometimes a color is so darn goooood, you literally do a double take.

I love color.  And this modern take on green is just perfection.  It’s like your 20 year old green, just turned 30.  More confident.  More sophisticated.  This green is just a tad wiser.

And where did I see it?  You probably saw it too!  The West Elm Catalog…

Now, there’s not a slew of pictures for this color, but I did find a pretty dope one.

With a pink ceiling?!?!  Get outta here!  This room is too much!  In, like, the best way possible.

I don’t know about you, but I think Rookwood would look so great on some shutters… or maybe even the front door.

Wheels are spinning!!

What do you think?  Would you use Rookwood in your house?

Color Crush – Grenada Green

Hola Amigos!!

Are you back in the swing of things yet?  Me?  Uh, no… not quite.  But I’m feeling very inspired by this springy color!

It’s just so… well, it’s so welcoming and happy, and simply perfect on this stable.  I’m not sure it’s a color that I should add to options for my house, but I just LOVE the vibe!

It’s Benjamin Moore’s Grenada Green.  The trim is custom- Poo.

Dig the chairs and table?  Williams Sonoma and Ikea!!  They look fabulous together!

Inside, I think Benjamin Moore’s Macadamia on the rafters is genius.

In fact the color of this stunning stable is so sublime, it should almost be retired… or used only on stables, in the Bahamas by Ms. Amanda Lindroth.

I hope this got your creative juices flowing!!
