YES!!

The bed is in and it’s just about ready for some serious business!!  Tell me this isn’t the coolest bed for 3 little boys?!  No, wait.  Tell me it is the coolest.  Please.  I’m so exhausted from sanding, painting, nailing that a few “good girl” pats on the back would do the opposite of harm right about now.

I kid.  (Kind of)  I’m actually so thrilled with how it’s all coming together.  I say coming together because although the hard part is done there are still a few details that need to be addressed. I want to make some bedside shelves with a light, so that is certainly on the agenda.  Oh, and bedding.  Ya, that’s gotta happen soon too.

As for the little playhouse area, I’m kinda torn on what I want to do in there.  Should it be more of a reading nook (that my boys will probably just fight over) or like a Lego extravaganza (that may or may not contain the Lego mass that is my daily struggle).  Nevertheless, a cute rug, maybe some seating, art… stuff like that… is going to happen…. once that lightning idea strikes me. Sup Peeps?!  Notice a few changes here?  Well, I’ll let you in on all the details when the dust settles, but for now know that I’ve lost more than a few strands of hair trying to figure out this technologically crazy world we’ve created for ourselves.  My gosh.  We’ve got abbreviations for our abbreviations and I literally don’t have any idea what the heck I’m reading half the time.  It’s all loco.

So let’s forget about all that for a moment and think about what’s really important.  Color combinations.  And this combination is soooo 1984 meets 2050, don’t cha think?  Kinda perfect for our world… if I do say so myself!

Seriously this color pairing will never go out of style.  Loves!!  It’s found all over nature, so it has a calming effect even though the red it HOT!!

Love for the Pony

If your mind went right to Magic Mike and Channing Tatum, then you’re definitely my kind of peeps!

A few weekends ago I left the crazy crew at home to spend some much needed quality time with my girls and we (of course) went to see some XXL.  And wouldn’t you know, Channing wanted to “move away” from The Pony?!  Well, I’m here to tell you the opposite.

The Pony is good.  It’s real good.

Indoors, outdoors… you can get your Pony on anywhere your heart desires.

We all know that the fiddle leaf fig gets a lot of love.  But you know what?  That plant is a real B.  It’s so temperamental.  It’s so demanding.  It’s so damn hard to figure out.  I need to replant mine (I literally call her Cabrona, in Spanish) but I’m scared.  She’s soooo gonna punish me for it.

On the flip side, I have a Ponytail palm and it’s amazing.  If the fiddle leaf is the wife, then the pony is the mistress… who lives on another continent.
