Rattan Chair Sitting Pretty!

Did you know?

That might just be the ultimate way to dispense some good ole know-how.  And it’s definitely my favorite question to hear!  I’m usually 87% sure that I’ll be getting a great tip to store in the soft tissue.

So… Did you know that all you need to repair rattan is wood glue?  Yes, it’s true!

Here is the rattan chair I picked up a month or two ago for $15.

I am really loving this chair!  It totally goes with the breezy California style I’m craving these days.  But it needed a bit of TLC.  Insert some sweat equity and wood glue!!

Okay, I realized that I may have lied.  Tape is useful too.  You’ll definitely want some tape to hold the wiggly parts together while the glue dries.

I bought extra rattan and didn’t even need it!  I just love when a project goes smoothly!!  (So rare, let me tell ya!)

Now she is good as new!

And here’s a shot with my assistant.  He just wanted to hide all his toys in the basket…which just shows me that I can’t have it out yet… maybe in another year or two.

What do you think?!?!?

Worth the investment?
