200 Sold Items!!

Hello My Friends!

Guess what?!  I’ve hit my 200th sale on Chairish!  (As if you couldn’t guess from the title!)  And I’m beyond thrilled!  It’s so much fun hunting and selling and even meeting some great people all around the Los Angeles area.

I thought it would be cool to share with you my 10 favorite things from this lot of 100.  Obvs I LOVE everything I sell and want (desperately) to keep it all… that is not an exaggeration in ANY WAY.  I am literally just a 100 sqft from being a legit hoarder.  But I do sell stuff and THANK GOODNESS for that, because buying is my favorite!

In no particular order, here are my favorite 10 pieces that have sold in the last few months.

Yes, a set of 4 gorgeously lacquered Henredon caned chairs, complete with rosewood backs and brass legs ferules.  OBSESSED!

A metal guilt bookshelf with wooden shelves…. yes, please.  Is this not the epitome of Hollywood glam?!

I found this pair of custom upholstered headboards that were kept in storage and were never used.  I LOVE them!  And you may get a peek of them on the new show Ratched on Netflix, which is the prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.  They were purchased by the set designer, so I can’t wait to see them again on screen!!

This is one SUPER BIG piece of art.  It is an abstract and was done on fabric – incredibly unique and I think, beautiful.  I originally wanted to hang it in my hallway, but it wouldn’t fit!!  It’s taller than I am with my arms up and I could not put my arms around it to lift.  This baby is a statement piece for sure!

I’m kinda smitten with wicker furniture lately and this one is seriously a favorite.  It has lots of storage and a pull out rack for hanging inside!!  I would put this in a nursery, but when I dropped it off it went in the living room.  And you know what?  I dug it!

Oh lovely, how I miss you.  This is a Fantoni glazed volcano lamp that is very collectable and very rare.  (Did you guys see the show Forever?  They had like 2 of them.  Crazy.)  This was purchased as a gift for a designer boss.  I wish I got gifts like these from my minions.  HA!!

Can I just tell you that this display cabinet is stunning in person?  The brass details and the simplicity of the square corners – Lovely.  I really, really like this and wanted to keep it.  But it’s big.  And mama needs the space for more treasures.  The funny thing is that I just about got it for free.  A few of the glass shelves broke after I purchased it, so they were like, just take it and we’re good.  Uh ya… we’re GOOD.

Oh boy.  When I spot something like this I know it’s a designer’s dream.  This is a worn leather bench with cast iron legs.  You CANNOT make this – you have to let it age and age and age and hope that it patinas in just the right way.  Thank my lucky stars, this one did.  I could totally see her in Ellen’s California ranch house and will forever think that’s were she is.

This is a Heywood-Wakefield bookcase with the most perfect proportions and angles.  You can’t see it here, but the shelves actually come out and wrap around the frame.  Anything by these designers is highly collectible, and their esthetic is just beautiful.  You could put this anywhere and it would look amazing.

Here’s a small, that’s easy to keep and hide, so I may forever regret selling it.  It’s a handmade lion face dish made in Italy in the 1960’s.  This one was PERFECT.  Wouldn’t it look so great on a nightstand?!?

Now before I start bawling my eyes out, I figured that I’d show you a few runners up… which let’s be honest are totally my favorites too and I HAD to include!!

An Italian marble table by Drexel, a FABULOUS custom pillow in Clarence House’s Jambala fabric with silk fringe, handblown neon yellow glasses and a handmade iron and glass table.

It’s been so much fun meeting people and seeing what they’ll do with the pieces I find.  I even had a celebrity pick something up.  Seen this face before?

The buyer was like, “my friend Tom is going to pick it up.”  You mean Tom Everett Scott… who I totally asked if we knew each other.  Turns out I knew him, but he’d never met me.  Hahaha!

I also got to meet Emily from the Guilded Hearth, who is gorgeous and talented!  Check out her projects for lots of inspiration, or heck call her if you need a designer!

That’s all for now.  Back to selling!!

Jessica
