Wowah.  Yes, that just happened.  I got a bit tied up at work (the one that pays for my diy habit) and 3 weeks went by.  Just. Like. That.

And now, it’s like Thanksgiving?!?!?  Holy fill-in-the-blank.

But please don’t think that I’ve forgotten about us.  A little distance might bring us closer… or does that just work for marriages?!?  Not sure.  But either way… I’m back!  And I want to show you where I’m at in the family room update.

Remember this?   What the room looked like 6, er 10, weeks ago…

And here is what the room looks like right now!

It amazes me that a few little changes equal a totally different room.  All the big stuff stayed the same, even my mallard ducks made it back in the mix!!

You know that I’m not a photographer, so please excuse the photos!  At least you can get an idea of what’s been cookin’ around here!

New pillows, with lots of fun tassels and bling!  New rug, photographs, and I’m most loving the versatility of the shelves!!

Isn’t that FUN sign, well fun?!  I found that at a recent flea market trip.  She said I could always have “fun” for $10 dollars.  Who could argue with that?!

I did end up painting the tips of this woven art piece black.  It gives it a little something extra, I think.  I’m not sure I’ll keep it here, but for now it’s dressed up for the holidays!

If you’ve been following along, then you’ll notice there’s something missing.  Can you guess?

My vintage chairs!  Yes!!  I’m working on those so I hope to have them out very soon!

Thanks for dealing with my delays!  I want to show you the other rooms that I’ve been steadily eking out progress in…next week, perhaps?

Maybe I can get the hubs to take the photos?  He’s not too shabby with a lens =)

And (AND) we’re putting on a Harry Potter Birthday party in a few days!!  I can’t wait to get you those photos!
