Ready to see all the fun goodies I spied this month? I know that you can’t actually buy any of these, but at least you can get an idea of what’s out there in the flea market world and how much things are going for.
Maybe there is a treasure or two you think I passed up? I’d love to hear which one you would have pulled the trigger on!
$250 for this gorgeous chinoiserie fireplace screen.$145 for an amply sized chandelier. I love the light tones!$1450 for the pair, but if you think about it, it’s only $725 each for really amazing chairs that are in perfect condition and almost 6 ft high. Great for the head of your dining table or in the bedroom to hang your suit coat on!
$85 for these industrial letters that are 3 1/5 feet high. Would be cool next to a fireplace or in an office.$40 (yes that’s right!!) for an army inspired, but totally new, foldable bed. I was thinking this would be utterly epic and functional in a teens room; at the foot of the bed, against a wall as a “sofa” or stored under the bed for friends!$125 for this wood, glass and chrome coffee table. My pic sucks because this piece is really handsome – and so on point right now trend-wise, but it’s vintage which gives much more character than something mass produced!$30 for two 10 inch long brass hippos. Could you resist? I couldn’t!! They make me smile.
$80 for this super rad “lab” looking table. I’m sore about this one, hommies. I thought it’d be a great occasional table by the sofa since it’s all kinds of adjustable.$1200 for this glass and lucite table with zero scratches and mucho appeal.$650 for a retro chic dresser with perfect pulls. I just love those pulls!!$60 for an abstract sculpture – it’s about 4 feet high. It would look fabulous in that lonely corner of your house!$650 for this serious rocker with new upholstery and cushions. Not the deal of the century but still a really stunning chair…. nursery perhaps?$85 for the pair, and he wouldn’t split them up. So sad! I wanted the one on the right. Whaaaaaa!$15 for a baby blue mountable task lamp. Obvs this is mine now. A perfect, and needed, addition to my work area!$1,100 for this 6 ft round table that could either be attached or used as two demilunes. A total gem for the right entry or hallway.$150 each, which is way high in my opinion but they are kinda cool in that faux concrete finish. Hey, it’s something different!$600 for the pair, a really good deal for these lefty nightstands. The two tone wood is unique and the hardware really stunning. In the picture they look like they need work, but nope, they’re good to go after a little polishing.$2 bucks a piece for these lucite numbers roughly 5″ tall… I was really, really thinking about these to grace the front on my house. If only I could pick a color already!
Mama grabbed this treasure for $40! I originally thought it would be a great kids table with a new top, but once I put it in the living room I don’t think I can move her out. It’s solid wood, heavy, and almost brand new, although the seller had it in her own house for over 25 years! Wouldn’t a little paint only on the inside, take it over the edge?!?$60 for this porcelain lamp finial. This one of a kind gem is 100 years old!
What do you think? A lot of fun pieces to check out and drool over. I always give you the starting price the vendor gives me because in most cases I’m not actually going to buy them so I don’t get to the negotiation part. When the piece does come home with me, then yes, you get the nitty gritty details. So, figure if you are out and about and see something similar, don’t forget to make a reasonable offer. And don’t forget your cash!!
